Dissatisfied with condition of on-field & off-field facilities

Dissatisfied with condition of on-field & off-field facilities 960 1280 Marrickville FC

You should be – the Club Management Committee certainly is!!

To improve the facilities available to all, members, and the Club alike, need to constructively express this to Inner West Council.

The delayed 2020 Local Government elections are scheduled Saturday 4th December.

More than ever, it is IMPORTANT that our Members need to raise their concerns about the state of the on-field and/or off-field facilities at Mackey, Steel & Tempe grounds.

In this edition, we have included the IWC Election Candidates and Ward Map to help you locate who your local representative is within IWC. We urge you to use the sample email provide in the pages below, to contact any or all candidates to highlight the unsatisfactory conditions of our beloved parks.

Have a look at the recent photos reflective of conditions in September 2021 after 12 weeks of NO community sport played since 20th June! Similar to 2019 after the worst drought in 100 years.

In 2021 you paid, via your registrations, $80,000 to IWC in field hire fees for 5 months of games – even after refunds due to COVID!

In addition, to reduce field impact, spread the wear & tear and to be a good community citizen, Marrickville FC purchased and made available for broad community use mobile goals.

As an MFC member (even if NOT an IWC rate payer) you are entitled to email the Marrickville – Midjuburi Ward (Lillypilly) candidates.

As a rate payer you should email both your local ward candidates AND Marrickville – Midjuburi Ward (Lillypilly) candidates. All the information and candidates list are provided here.

To see what ward you are in please see the Council Boundaries on the Inner West Council site.

Not sure what to write then please look at our Example Email, this should give you a good start.
